A experience of a lifetime: follow a family of nomadic shepherds and share their lifestyle during their 15-day journey moving the cattle from the desert towards colder lands in the North. Trek on the Jbel Saghro mountain range and Ighil Mgoun in the Atlas while participating in a practice as old as humanity.

You can arrive at anytime to Marrakech airport where you will be picked up. Marrakech is a bustling mercantile city that will also be your last stop at the end of your adventure. Its iconic Jamaa Fna square is still busy with storytellers, snake charmers, artisan markets, and all sorts of shopping stalls. The first stop after landing in Morocco will be at your traditional riad in the centre of the medina, or the city's old town. A riad is a traditional building in southern Morocco, a large two-story house built around a courtyard. In the evening, once all the group members have arrived, you'll gather at the riad with your guide to discuss your upcoming adventure.
You will be transferred from Marrakech to the region where your host nomad family spent the Winter. You will meet all the family members and the cattle. They are preparing for departure and you will join in the preparations for an incredible journey. A nice dinner will help to relax and enjoy together, you need to go soon to bed as the team is leaving during the sunrise.
Trek with the nomads through the Saghro mountains range and then M’Goun, natural wall of the Sahara desert, while you share their everyday life, leading the cattle, preparing food and cooking, and installing your khaima tents. A normal day of trekking will start very early in the morning, prepare and share breakfast with the rest of the team and start your walk after uninstalling tents and loading the mules. The days will usually end with a nice dinner cooked on a bonfire, sharing stories under a beautiful starry sky and going early to bed after a long day of trekking.
You will be transferred back to Marrakech where you will spend the night in your traditional Riad. You can explore the city if you still feel strong enough or rest after an intense and exciting journey.
Breakfast will be served at the riad on this final day of the tour. There will be transfers to the airport arranged according to flight schedules, and plenty to explore in the city if you have time before your departure!
