You can arrive at anytime to Marrakech airport where you will be picked up. Marrakech is a bustling mercantile city that will also be your last stop at the end of your adventure. Its iconic Jamaa Fna square is still busy with storytellers, snake charmers, artisan markets, and all sorts of shopping stalls.

The first stop after landing in Morocco will be at your traditional riad in the centre of the medina, or the city's old town. A riad is a traditional building in southern Morocco, a large two-story house built around a courtyard. In the evening, once all the group members have arrived, you'll gather at the riad with your guide to discuss your upcoming adventure.

Night: Comfortable Riad in Marrakech.

Your day begins early to arrive as soon as possible to Toubkal National Park, south of Marrakech, and start a two-day trek through the High Atlas Mountain Range. The highest mountain in northern Africa, the Toubkal, is on this park. This mountain range is also home to the Berber people.

The landscape is typical of a high altitude area, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, green valleys, and steep cliffs. Along the way, you’ll come across Berber farms and villages. The night will be spent at a gîte (a traditional family house) in one of the villages, where you’ll share a meal with a Berber family.

Trekking: 5 - 8 hours (depending on group)
Night: Berber guesthouse or tents.

On day two of your trek through Toubkal National Park, you will continue walking on narrow paths between valleys and cliffs until you reach Imlil. Imlil is the main village in the area from which most of the ascent routes to the prominent Toubkal peak begin. In the outskirts of Imlil, there’s a mountain hut at 1900 metres high over farmland valleys and surrounded by striking snow-capped peaks.

This stunning location will be your home for the night, a special place from which to appreciate the magnificence of the Moroccan High Atlas.

Trekking: 3-4 hours (depending on group)
Night: Mountain hut in Imlil.

After breakfast, you'll head to the other side of the Atlas Mountains following the Taroudant Route, also known as “the Argan Valley”. Argan oil is highly appreciated for its cosmetic and culinary properties, and Berber women have been extracting it for hundreds of years. This is one of the few regions on Earth where the Argan plants grow naturally.

A stop at one of the Argan cooperatives will allow you to learn more about the process of extraction of this valued oil. At the end of the day, you’ll reach the remote Fint Oasis, where there will be time for exploring the area and learning about the lifestyle of people in an oasis, and end your day with a dinner with your host family.

Trekking: 2 - 3 hours
Night: Family house in Fint Oasis.

After breakfast and saying your goodbyes to your host family, you'll leave Fint Oasis and head towards Tamnougalt, home of an impressive kasbah of Jewish origin.

This village is located in the high part of the lush Draa Valley, on the other side of the river, a beautiful location in contrast to the drier desertic areas in the country. The next stop will be the Berber capital of Nkob, a remote village where a host family will be waiting for you. Nkob will offer you a closer look into the real life of Berber people of southern Morocco.

Night:Comfortable kasbah in Nkob.

Early in the morning, you’ll continue your journey on the classic Trans-Saharan Caravan Route. A ride on the Erg Chebbi desert towards Merzouga will be the highlight of this fun day, retracing the steps of this ancient commercial route the same way it has been used for centuries.

You will camel trek through the dunes with your nomad team and camp on the desert for the night. In the evening, you'll have your dinner with the Saharan people and camp out under the stars.

Camel Trekking: 2 - 3 hours
Night: Wild camp in the desert.

After enjoying the sunrise views from your desert camp, you’ll continue your route to return to Merzouga. Along the way, you’ll stop at a kasbah for lunch by the desert. Then you’ll head to Sijilmassa, a city in ruins that used to be an important stop on the Trans-Saharan Caravan Route because of its strategic location. Your day will end at the Todra gorge, where a local family will host your expedition party.

Night: Guesthouse in Todra gorge.

The focus of this day will be on rock climbing. Gear, coaching and guidance will be provided. Whether you are an experienced climber or want to try rock climbing for the first time, the over 300m tall walls of the Todra Gorge will ensure fun for everyone. You will count with a team of experienced instructors.

After a high-intensity day, you’ll make your way to Ouarzazate, the main capital city of this region, known for its film studios. Here you’ll relax at a kasbah-riad.

Rock Climbing Experience: 3 - 5 hours
Night: Kasbah in Ouarzazate.

Early in the morning, you'll begin your journey through breathtaking unspoilt landscapes, the isolated villages on the Ounila Valley, and its ancient kasbahs. Along the way, you'll visit the Telouet Kasbah and have lunch at the fortified city of Aït Ben Haddou, a famous Moroccan ksar where many films have been set (and a Unesco World Heritage Site).

Both of these locations were routine stops for merchants on the caravan trade route. You'll attempt to arrive to Marrakech as early as possible to have time to enjoy its hustle and bustle, meandering streets, and busy atmosphere.

Night: Traditional Riad in Marrakech.

Breakfast will be served at the riad on this final day of the tour. There will be transfers to the airport arranged according to flight schedules, and plenty to explore in the city if you have time before your departure!
